Basic Obedience Level 1
Critter Sitters uses, primarily, a method called clicker training. This is a technique where the dog learns through one identifying sound (the clicker) what it is that they did to get a reward.
In this 8 week course, the dog will learn the following: Sit, Down, Loose Leash Walking, Recall, Watch me, Leave it, Stand for Examination, and Wait at the Door.
In this course we use only positive motivation techniques that set the dog up to succeed.
The dog must have current vaccinations to participate.

Puppy socialization
Have a safe, controlled environment to socialize your young puppy. This class is restricted for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old. Get advice on several problem behaviors like chewing, biting, house training and more.
The puppy must be current on all puppy shots and rabies (if old enough).

Shaping
This class is the main basis of clicker training. The goal is to teach the dog to perform an action that they do not do naturally. By attending this class, your dog will learn how to settle on a mat at the sound of a doorbell or a knock. This will give you a polite dog when you have visitors over and will eliminate the initial urge that the dog has to jump on your guest to greet them. You can also use it when the dog needs to be in a safe location, such as when you are bringing in groceries.
The dog must have current vaccinations to participate.
4 week class $55
Really Reliable Recall
Teach your dog to come to you under high distractions. You want a recall where there is no thought in it at all! You call your dog, and they come. This is all you and your dog focus on for the entire 6 week period. We start in a low distraction environment and build up to a higher distraction environment (recall through treats, toys, different noises etc.) We will also help you with home situations so your dog listens to you even at home!
This is a 6 week class for $65. This class could one day save your dog's life!
